Provisional shortlists for the posts of Assistant Storekeeper-cum-Clerk (Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department), Divisional Cadre Kashmir Advertised vide Notification No.03 of 2017, Item No.01, for Counselling and Document Verification.
Whereas, vide No.SSB/Secy/Sel/2018/10668-72 dated 23.10.2018, the J&K Services Selection Board notified provisional shortlists for the posts of Assistant Storekeeper-cum-Clerk (Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department), Divisional Cadre Kashmir Advertised vide Notification No.03 of 2017 under Item No.01. Whereas, among others, candidates were shortlisted, on the basis of data furnished by the applicants in their online applications, for the posts earmarked for Ex-Servicemen Category also.
Whereas, during Counselling-cum-Document Verification process of the candidates shortlisted in Ex-Servicemen Category, it has been observed that majority of the candidates have not presented themselves, for Counselling-cum-Document Verification, which reveals that ineligible candidates have figured in the shortlist of the ExServicemen Category, as has been observed in the Board that ineligible candidates apply under Ex-Servicemen Category, in most of the cases and thus figure in the shortlist.
Whereas, the matter was considered by the Board and it was decided to align the shortlist of the Ex-Servicemen category strictly as per rules applicable, for which left out candidates, who have applied and appeared in the written test as Ex-Servicemen Category candidates and did not figure in the shortlist and call them for Counselling and Document Verification to ascertain their eligibility under Ex-Servicemen Category for this selection, so that selections do not run into issues and litigations.
Now, therefore, it is hereby notified for the information of all such candidates, who have applied under Ex-Servicemen Category for the post of Assistant Storekeeper-cum-Clerk (Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department), Divisional Cadre Kashmir, advertised vide Notification No.03 of 2017, Item No.01 and had appeared in the written examination held on 12th of May, 2018 and had not figured in the notified shortlist earlier and possess certificate of competent authority for being Ex-Servicemen, that they shall present themselves for Counselling-cum-Document Verification on 2 nd of March, 2019, before the Administrative Officer, Srinagar at Camp Office, J&K Services Selection Board, Zum Zum Complex, Srinagar, in respect of this selection along with copy of online application form, all other documents and the certificate issued by the prescribed authority in support of being Ex-Servicemen.
The subsequent claims of the candidates, based on this Counselling-cumDocument Verification shall be decided by the Board strictly as per merit in the said category. No representation/claim in this regard shall be accepted/entertained after the 2nd of March, 2019 (4 PM), as the Board is required to take immediate steps for the conclusion of this selection.
